Bundanoon Psychologist and Mental Health

Among our esteemed staff members is Dr. Peter Seligman, our resident psychologist. Dr. Seligman offers specialised mental health services on Tuesday afternoons and throughout the day on Wednesdays. Additionally, the practice’s General Practitioners (GPs) are trained to provide assistance, referrals, and establish mental health plans, ensuring comprehensive care for patients in need.

  • Psychological Assessments: Dr. Seligman conducts comprehensive assessments to understand patients’ mental health concerns, identify potential diagnoses, and develop appropriate treatment plans. These assessments involve gathering relevant information, conducting interviews, and utilizing validated assessment tools to gain a thorough understanding of the patient’s condition.
  • Individual Therapy: Dr. Seligman offers evidence-based therapy tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual. Through a range of therapeutic approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, or mindfulness-based interventions, he helps patients explore their thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns.   • Mental Health Plans and Referrals: All of our GPs at The Practice Bundanoon are equipped to provide help and referrals for mental health concerns. They can assess patients’ mental health needs, establish mental health plans, and refer patients to appropriate specialists or psychologists like Dr. Seligman for further support. This collaborative approach ensures patients receive comprehensive care and access to the appropriate resources.
  • Collaborative Care: The Practice Bundanoon believes in a collaborative approach to mental health care. Dr. Seligman and the GPs work together to ensure continuity of care, sharing information, and collaborating on treatment plans.
